Yogi, The Shih-Poo With Human Like Face is Taking the World by Storm

You might not be able to see it at first, but this dog really does look like a man.
The one-year-old shih-poo has incredibly humanlike features that you can’t unsee once you’ve noticed.
A picture of Yogi the dog went viral after his owner posted a picture of the two, with most thinking it was a face swap application from Snapchat or Instagram.
Many did a double take when they realised that’s just the pooch’s normal face, which looks more like a sad man than a pup.

Yogi’s human Chantal Desjardins said she’d never noticed the uncanny resemblance before.
Only when Facebook users were commenting in their droves, she started seeing it herself. ‘My friends were freaking out,’ she told BuzzFeed, adding that the pictures of Yogi were ‘not photoshopped at all’.

But it wasn’t until a friend posted it on Reddit that the picture went viral, with people commenting things like ‘this is the most disturbing thing I’ve seen,’ and ‘he looks like Nicholas Cage as an Ewok’.

If you can’t put your finger on what makes Yogi look so human, here’s a hint; it’s the eyes.
While most dogs tend to have rounder, dark eyes, Yogi has a soulful, melancholic eyes – something we’re not used to seeing in these majestic creatures.
The round face and almost pursed lips also add to the effect.

Look at the difference between Yogi and his sister Darla, an 8-year-old Shih Tzu and you’ll see what we mean.
Despite the sad expression, Yogi is still a very happy, hyper dog, who always wants a hug and cuddle, says Chantal.
Man face or not, we still want to cuddle with Yogi.
